Seth Simon, an experienced insurance industry leader, has joined Slice Labs as Director of Claims to accelerate and grow Slice’s customer claims experience.

Seth joins Slice from Chubb Personal Risk Services, where he helped reshape the company’s customer experience offerings. Seth’s focus was on providing a customized experience for new and existing clients that was broad, customer-focused and deeper than simple transaction-based relationships. Prior to joining Chubb, Seth led training and development programs for AIG Private Client Group and State Farm Insurance employees that focused on exceptional customer service and instilled a deep understanding of products and procedures.

“We are excited to have an industry leader with Seth’s outstanding experience and expertise lead Slice’s customer claims efforts,” said Slice’s Chief Underwriting Officer Michael Fitzgibbon, to whom Seth will be reporting. “Seth’s background in personal lines and commercial insurance will be a huge asset in helping us shape our unique, on-demand claims program.”

Like Slice’s other core services, its customer claims experience will be direct, frictionless and instantaneous—much like the on-demand economy it serves. Slice’s app will allow customers to instantly report a claim by uploading a file, picture or video. Customers will even be able to provide valuable claim adjustment notes. All claims will be reported directly through the app and paid straight into the customer’s bank account.

As Director of Claims, Seth will lead and scale customer claims efforts to ensure a personalized, user-focused, effortless experience. With Seth at the helm, Slice’s claims experience will guarantee on-demand workers will never again be saddled with the onerous costs of a ride share or a home rental gone wrong, nor will they be bound to an exorbitant commercial policy that doesn’t suit their budget or their needs.
